Thanksgiving Day Interfaith Worship Service

The Hyde Park Kenwood Interfaith Council has sponsored an Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service for over 90 years. This service is a celebration of the Hyde Park-Kenwood neighborhood's religious and community diversity featuring readings from diverse religious traditions, musical selections by the Chicago Children's Choir, organ music, currently by Thomas Weisflog, dance from a spiritual tradition, and a keynote speaker. The offering taken up at this Service supports our Hyde Park Kenwood Hunger Programs (Community Food Pantry & the Open Kitchen). For many years the Service has been held at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.
