The Norma Jean Sanders Free Medical Clinic is a ministry of Kenwood United Church of Christ. We seek to help provide for the health care needs of the congregation of Kenwood UCC and the surrounding community, especially serving persons who have no health care insurance coverage.
The volunteer clinic staff provides basic health assessments, health education, spiritual support, direct medical care as appropriate, and referral to other resources as needed. Services in the Free Medical Clinic are provided by licensed physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, other health professionals, and lay health ministers.
In fulfilling its mission, the Free Medical Clinic seeks to work in cooperation with congregations, social service providers, and other health care systems and ministries, including the South Side Health Project and Advocate Health Care.
The Norma Jean Sanders Free Clinic provides compassionate health care services to all who seek them, respecting all persons, and regardless of race, gender, age, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation. This health care is provided to all who come, free of charge.
The Norma Jean Sanders Free Medical Clinic always welcomes medical professionals to volunteer their services at the Free Medical Clinic.
