Other Programs for the Poor and Homeless

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The volunteer members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society assist people when they ask for aid. Through a person to person contact, usually a home visit, members are able to assist their neighbors with food, clothing, possibly utility aid, or some other assistance. Members aid any person, normally within the boundaries of their parish, regardless of race, gender or religion. To arrange a visit, call St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 324-2626.
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5472 S. Kimbark Ave., hosts a St. Vincent de Paul Society annual dinner on the third weekend of April. The poor and homeless are welcome. For details call the church at 324-2626.
