Any events in greater Hyde Park related to the study of religion. A central place for posting events from area seminaries, the Divinity School, student workshops, centers, etc. Educational and community events from houses of worship (no announcements of regular worship services, please).

 

You are invited to join the annual Interfaith Iftar meal at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC), 1100 E. 55th St.. We’ll gather in our Refectory at 6:30 on Wednesday, Sept 1, 2010 for fellowship, learning, and food. Break the daily Ramadan fast with the LSTC community and our Muslim friends. Hear personal relections on the meaning of this holy month for Muslims. Special guest: Prof. Inam ul Haq, Elmhurst College. Modest dress is appreciated.

There is no fee for this event, but we must have your RSVP in order to plan for enough food. RSVP by Aug. 27 to Sara Trumm: strumm@lstc.edu or 773-256-0708.
